Domain Name Suggestions

The domain name generator is nothing more than a computer program that will generate a alternate list of domain name suggestions based on the information that you input into the search field. The results are actually related keyword phrases. Most of domain registration sites where you purchase a domain will generate a list of alternate domain name suggestions when you do a search to see if a particular keyword phrase you enter into the search field is available for purchase. Although this sounds like a very simple process.

There is more to the art of using a domain name generator to find that perfect website name. There are some very important tips and techniques you need to do to qualify a selection before you make a purchase for your website.Remember these programs generate alternate related phrases based on what you input and search for. If your product or service is fishing rods that are custom made then probably it is a safe bet that your niche market is fishing rods and a good keyword phrase to start with would be “custom fishing rods

Now that you have your Adwords account go ahead and sign in and go to the top of the page. Right below where it says “Find Keywords” enter your keyword phrase. For our example, enter “domain name suggestion” into the search box and click the button that says “Search”. Do not pay attention to the results at this time because they are too broad and you need a more refined set of results for your domain name generator. Now go to left side of the results page and you will see a list of checked boxes arranged vertically under the heading “Match Types”. Uncheck the box “broad” and check the box “Exact” Leave the box “Phrases” unchecked. Now click on the search button that says “Search” again.

Personally I will note use a phrase as a domain that does not get at least 1000 exact searches per month. This number helps you weed out any phrases that get very little search traffic. Next take a look at “competition” result. Notice that our example shows medium competition.

The longer the green bar is the higher the competition for the keyword phrase will be. Keep in mind the higher the competition is the more work that will be involved to get this keyword to the number one position on Google searches. I have tackle high competition keyword if the exact search volume is high, but typically I will use medium to low competition keywords for a website name.

Domain Name Generator

A domain name generator can  help you find a good domain name. I tried a couple of online domain name generators and was quite satisfied with the results. I didn’t expect any of the domain name generators I tried to suggest me some super-good domain names as I they are just like a programmed software which mix and match words and generate unique domain names for you. In 5 out of 10 cases, you may get a good domain name suggestion.

Impossibility is a cool domain name generator and can generate good domain names. It can add verbs, nouns and adjectives to the word of your choice and suggest unique domain names.Blungr is another domain name generator I liked a lot. You just have to enter one or two words you want Blungr to include in your domain name, choose the domain extension (TLD), add a prefix or a suffix if you want and click on GO! Blungr also displays a thesaurus.

Domains Bot suggests you some cool domain names, but if you compare it with Impossibility or Blungr, then I feel it’s not up to the mark.Unlike other services, Randomainer doesn’t allow you to add words of your choice and get domain name suggestions. It’s simply a RSS feed listing some cool available domain names. You can call it a random domain name generator.

Domainr is another cool domain name generator. It’s totally AJAX based and you don’t have to reload pages again and again. It displays a list of domain names both available and registered quickly.I am in love with Dot-o-mator. You just have to fill two fields – Beginnings & Endings. It even has some lists of ready-made words. In short it’s the perfect web 2.0 domain name generator!

Domain Name Suggestions

A better optimized list of domain names helps your customers discover all the ways they might describe their web site or online service. With more high-value domain name options, customers are more likely to convert to registrants with multiple registrations. Verisign® Domain Name Suggestion Service integrates into your domain search process to provide relevant and desirable domain name alternatives for .com, .net, .tv, .name, and .cc top-level domains (TLDs).

Verisign Domain Name Suggestion Service is a complimentary service that uses advanced linguistic technology to sort and split each query into likely terms. Language trends and current topics collected from analysis of thousands of web sites are factored into the creative suggestion results. Advanced control settings serve as levers to optimize and customize suggestions based on the registrar's or end user's requirements.

The user enters keywords or a domain name and adjusts the control settings (levers may be hidden from end users and set by registrar). The service processes the request and provides optimized suggestions in up to four languages. Because the Domain Name Suggestion Service accepts multiple words, characters, and domain name strings, users have maximum flexibility and receive fewer errors. Advanced search options give users the ability to include or exclude words or phrases from their results.

Customers need help selecting domain names, especially for popular TLDs such as .com and .net. When a domain name search results in highly relevant and available options, customers are more likely to register more domain names. The Domain Name Suggestion Service enables registrars to offer a more convenient process and a better experience to their customers.
